Beach BLAST Skills & Play

Skills & Play will help athletes stay in peak physical, mental game play condition and learn  and improve specific beach skills along with the rules of the game.  These sessions will encourage you to become a well-rounded athletes who can serve, hit, dig and block. Sessions will help with:

  • 2v2, 4v4 and 6v6 games plus modified game play (if restrictions allow)
  • agility and confidence, reaction speed, vertical power, strength and stability, conditioning, strategy, mental toughness and game-play (if permitted)
  • skill instruction and refinements
  • 15-20min of plyometrics, speed and strength training and cardio intervals

Pre-Requisites:

  • open to 11-18 year old athletes
  • 11-18 Skill Level – consistency in linking all fundamental skills to target in system
  • General Volleyball Intelligence – ability to put together the technical and tactical aspects of the game in system
  • Coachability – desire and willingness to improve, develop and accept change or move out of their comfort zone
  • HARD WORK

OPEN League (2's or 4's - TEAM REGISTRATION)

Open 2’s or 4’s for athletes who have been working hard all summer to train and put their practice to competition:

  • 6 weeks of game play between 4:00-8:00pm – schedule will be updated one day prior to play for location and time
  • teams may register as co-ed, male or female
  • teams will be tiered by age/skill
  • 2 matches each evening between 4:00-8:00pm
  • coaches will be present for 2 out of 6 weeks to observe and provide feedback
  • teams can book coaches for game play and skill analysis if preffered for additional cost

Pre-Requisites:

  • prior enrollment in ASPIRE Beach Training session or Skills & Fit
  • open to 11-18 year old athletes
  • Skill Level – consistency in linking all fundamental skills to target in system
  • General Volleyball Intelligence – ability to put together the technical and tactical aspects of the game in system
  • Coachability – desire and willingness to improve, develop and accept change or move out of their comfort zone
